I need some kids

I'm sure you're all thinking I already have enough of my own :)

I want some new shots for my portfolio. I have been blessed with booking weddings but I want to do more families and kids too. Since I have no childrens shoots coming up but I'm itching to photograph some little people, this is your lucky day! If you want a free session for your precious little ones just post a comment below! (You do need to be in Utah or Salt Lake counties....or willing to drive to those counties for the session).

This will be fun!

Laura & Jared - for All Eternity

Already married, Laura & Jared were sealed yesterday in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a privilege to photograph them and their families on that special day. Laura put back on her wedding dress - I must say I was a little jealous because I don't know if I could get mine back on anymore :) They were so fun and easy to work with; which made for a great shoot.

Priceless

Detour - 80 miles
Bug Bites - hundreds
Spiders - thousands
Beatiful Brides - 1
Photographs - AMAZING!

Andrea and I wanted to do her Bridals at the Salt Flats. Well...neither one of us realized how far out they were. So we didn't make it; we turned around after 40 miles and headed back to the Great Salt Lake State Park marina where we planned on getting sunset shots on the rocks. So she changes into her wedding gown (with the help of her sister and coordinator) in the marina parking lot. Some old guy almost wrecked his bike while staring at her getting ready...that probably shouldn't make me laugh, but it did. Then I was tracked down by the lot attendant who wanted to make sure I paid my entrance fee (which, by the way, must be paid even if you're just driving through the marina parking lot). Finally we raced to the rocks so she could climb on the and we could get some shots before the sun left us. We got close to the rocks and Oh. My. Goodness. I have never seen so many spiders and I hope I never do again! Everywhere you looked were enormous webs and huge, ominous looking spiders. I am getting the heeby-jeebies now just thinking about them. So climbing on the rocks was out, especially for Andrea and her little cutie, Alizae. We got a few shots on the lookout platform then headed down to the water in the hopes that the spiders wouldn't be so bad by the lake. Well...they were. And down by the water these little tiny bugs that flew in swarms that looked like black clouds joined the spiders. But we braved them (and fed them, appparently), found a big flat cement slab with no spiders and got some beautiful photographs of Andrea, Alizae and the sunset. We had hoped for more but I'm happy with the ones we did get.

And, Andrea, don't forget I will still go out to the Salt Flat with you some time. We can do a "trash the dress" session after the wedding :)

Here are some photographs that are sticking out to me now (at 12:10am). The rest will be up in your gallery when I have them finished.

Tessa's Bridals (with a bonus groom)

I'd never thought of bringing the groom in a tux along for the bridal session but now I know it's a good idea! We were able to get a lot of wedding day type shots without the stress of a time crunch and other family members sitting around waiting for us to be done. So if you don't mind bringing the groom seeing your dress before the wedding this is the way to do it.

Tessa & Spencer will be getting married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple so that's where we went for the bridal session. The Temple itself is, of course, beautiful but the scenery around the Temple is also amazing. It was my first time shooting at that Temple and I enjoyed finding areas for great photographs. I hope you like them as much as I do!

Cheryl & Ken

This was a beautiful wedding at the Calvary Baptist Church in Salt Lake City. Cheryl was beautiful and you could feel how genuine and kind she is. It was refreshing. It was a joy to be a part of their day.
