Senior Rep Time!

I've had the opportunity to photograph two of my Senior Reps so far. It's been so fun! Both girls were super cute and really easy to talk to; that always makes for a great session :)

I did Sophia's pictures yesterday but since I neglected to ever put up a sneak peek for Amy, I'm combining the two peeks into one post.

I hope you enjoy them!

Precious baby

I love newborns :) The way they take in the world and love their Moms. They're so fun to photograph.

Today's newborn was especially fun because I know I get to "watch" her grow up over the next year. Her mom won my first year package giveaway. So here's to the first of many fun sessions!

Thank-you rain, for waiting until we were done.

Well, almost. It sprinkled a little bit and there was one point I thought it was going to start pouring, but we got all the pictures done and they are beautiful!

I love the Thanksgiving Point gardens! I think ALL my brides should want to go there :)

Beautiful

Today I had the privilege of photographing adoptive parents, birth parents and their baby. It was such a beautiful experience; even I had to fight back tears at some points and I was only on the outside looking in. The adoptive Mom is an old friend of mine...maybe that's why my emotions were close to the surface too. I have so much respect and awe for Mothers and Fathers who make the choice to give their child to another set of parents. I don't think I would have been strong enough if I had ever been faced with that decision. I've always said it's about love (I know I'm not the only one to say that) but seeing it today drove it home even more for me. It truly is love. Love for the child.

That's what inspired me to make the first image here. The birth mom wanted a picture like this and I fell in love with the idea. And the image came out even better than I thought it would. The way the baby is holding one Mom's hands and looking into the other's eyes. It is stunning. I hope they all cherish this and all the pictures from their session.

Isn't being 8 great!

This little beauty turned 8 recently and will be baptized in a few weeks. Mom brought her in today for pictures of her baptism dress. I loved being able to capture this for them. She was so cute and happy and easy to work with. Thanks for bring her in!

Cute little Ryley (and her big brother too!)

I had the joy of photographing this precious baby when she was just a couple of months old. Now she's almost 6 months (wow, that was fast!) and Mom brought her back for some pictures with her big brother. It was a lot of fun for us :) And I loved seeing the two of them interact. It's so obvious they adore each other.

Weddings!

July 31st: the day of two weddings. Which, apparently, I completely forgot to blog about! I just logged on to blog two sessions from this week and I realized I don't have any sneak peeks up on the weddings. So, to my brides, Alycia & Krystal - sorry this took so long!

First: Krystal & George. Fun wedding! And super nice family who likes to make sure their sick photographer is doing okay :) Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!
